In the flotation separating of ultra-low-grade magnetite, the reverse flotation technology replaces the positive flotation technology. The superiorities of the reverse flotation technology are as follows.
1. The reverse flotation technology fits the change of ore properties in the recovery process better. For most of the red iron ore mines in our country, the content of FeO changes frequently, which causes the instability of flotation separating work, and affects the effect of beneficiation.
2. The reverse flotation technology has higher beneficiation efficiency. On the one hand, after the magnetic separating and abandoning tailing of raw ore, the materials usually have a higher grade. When using the positive flotation technology, because of the inclusions, the removal rate of gangue mineral is low. On the other hand, the reverse flotation technology makes full use of the density contrast between the iron minerals and the gangue minerals. At the condition of effective drug system, the flotation separating effect between the low density gangue minerals such as quartz and the high density iron minerals is better. The effect of raising iron content and reducing silicon content is obvious, which not only improves the quality of concentrate drastically, but also reduces the cost of beneficiation greatly.
